Biography
Charlotte Treuse is an intoxicating flirt. A performer from a young age, she found her calling on the burlesque stage in 2008 and has since been ceaselessly seducing show-goers. Charlotte is applauded for constantly raising the bar with high quality entertainment. She revels in the classic, and a deep respect for the glory days of burlesque are evident in all of her performances. A Crown Jewel in the flourishing Pacific Northwest scene, she is making national audiences sit up and take notice.
As a revivalist of the golden age of strip tease, Charlotte is most inspired when dancing with the accompaniment of a live band. In her quest for the perfect show, she joined forces with Orchestre L'Pow! and Madison Moone, creating Orchestre L'Pow! Presents Big Time Burlesque. Delivering "Bump and Grind for the Sophisticated Set" in a revue that invites audiences to step back in time, Big Time Burlesque has quickly become an audience favorite.
Charlotte is also a founder of Portland's own original Burlesque Collective, Rose City Shimmy, a collation of some of the area's premier performers. The girls of Rose City Shimmy are all celebrated solo artists, and together offer visual variety and a well-rounded view of burlesque from Neo to Classic. As a production team, Shimmy strives to bring audiences some of the most unique and engaging shows in the City of Roses.
Charlotte has been seen on stages across the country, performing at such illustrious events and shows as Tease-O-Rama,(2008, 2012) Viva Las Vegas 14, The New Orleans Burlesque Festival (2009-2011) Burlesque Hall of Fame (2011), and Bustout Burlesque (2011, 2012)
She has been featured in several publications, such as The Burlesque Bible, Rabid, The Gambit, Omega, Just Out and The Mercury, and graces the front cover of Brian C. Janes' celebrated book "It's All That Glitters"
